With view that the facility of payment of stamp duty is made easily available to the public therefore different arrangements are in force. In the Maharashtra State and in cities having different areas the stamps are sold by authorized stamp vendors. The number of license vendors in unit 3556 in State.

Validity of stamp paper

Validity of stamp paper is 6 months, of the Maharashtra Stamp Act, 1958.

Section 52B(b) The Maharashtra Stamp Act, 1958.

(b) Any stamps which have been purchased on or after the commencement date but have not been used, or no allowance has been claimed in respect thereof, within a period of six months from the date of purchase thereof, shall be rendered invalid.

Note : Above list of Stamp Vendor in Maharashtra State, are for general information only. Timings to get stamp paper : 10.30 to 1.00, 1.45 to 4.30. Closed on 2nd and 4th Saturday, Sunday and on Government declare Holiday. Many authorised vendors are add or deleted from time to time hence the same should be checked.
